About Us

The World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF) was formed in 1989 in Cebu, Philippines, to promote the Filipino martial arts (FMA) via a sporting version of eskrima (stickfighting) throughout the world.

WEKAF GB is the full contact stick fighting squad of Great Britain. The GB squad is a very successful squad with many European and World Champions past and present.

Here are some of the people behind WEKAF GB:

John Harvey - GB Team Coach

John Harvey is a founder member of WEKAF and was present at the first WEKAF tournament in the Philippines in 1989. John is also a former British, European and World champion.

Jude Tucker - Assistant GB Team Coach

Jude Tucker is a former British, European and World champion.

John James - President, Assistant President of WEKAF

John James is a current British and European champion and a former World champion.

Roger Barnes - President, British Delegate

Roger Barnes is a current British and European champion.
